What Are OTR Tires?
Off-the-road tires are large and durable work tires designed for heavy equipment vehicles. OTR Tire Vulcanizing
We offer a vulcanization service so your OTR tires can have the best possible care. Vulcanization is a chemical process where natural rubber is transformed into a more durable material when sulfur compounds and other curatives are added.
The rubber becomes more flexible and durable, and this is necessary for your tires to perform their best when the temperature changes. The tire is cooked in a special machine and then gaps are filled with a composite material during the vulcanization process.
The tire is repaired during this procedure and allows for increased durability. Without this process, the rubber tends to not be flexible enough, and it will result in the rubber becoming hard thus subjecting the surface to damage and cracks.
